Apple store has been launched in India on September 23, which not only provides the customers with ability to make purchases directly from Apple store, but also get direct customer support, trade-ins, student discounts and financing options. Till now Apple products have been sold in the country through e–commerce shops like Amazon and Flipkart and Apple authorized sellers, but now all the Apple customers can make purchases directly from company store.
The company has said that all the orders will shipped within 1-3 days; however some of the products like Macs are showing a shipping time of upto a month in the online store. The store provides some benefits for students, wide rang of financing options and more.
Indian customers can head to Apple store to buy interested products. They can also get in touch with Apple specialists through call or chat for support, advice or guidance. The specialists can also help the customers with setting up the devices. The support is offered in English and Hindi languages.
The trade-in program in the store for its iPhone models lets the customer to exchange any eligible Smartphone for a new iPhone. The customer only will have to answer some questions and store will provide a trade-in value of upto Rs. 35,000 which can be used to lower the price of the new iPhone. Customers will only have to pay the remaining money to complete their purchase.
Not all the devices are eligible for exchange, however the company has not provided a list of the eligible products. The trade-in values of the product will vary depending on the condition, year and configuration of the device. The trade-in value will be deducted only once the device provided has been verified at collection by the company officials.
Apple is offering a cashback of 6% (upto Rs.10, 000) of the cart value of Rs. 20,900 or more. This offer will only be applicable for purchase made using HDFC Bank Credit cards and the offer will start from October 16, 2020.
Students can purchase Macs and iPads at special discounted pricing and take advantage of the company’s extended warranty program, AppleCare+. The online store provides multiple modes of payment including credit and debit cards, MI, UPI, RuPay, n banking and credit card on delivery option. However the discounts are applicable only for newly accepted university students, their parents as well as lecturers and staff.
With Diwali approaching, customers can get signature gift wraps and personalized engravings on Apple products. iPads and Apple pencil can b engraved in English whereas Apple Airpods can b engraved in many languages including Bengali, Guajarati, Hindi and more.
Apple is providing contactless free delivery considering the current pandemic situation. The deliveries which do not require signature will be left at the door and the order which require signature will be hand over to the customer from a safe distance after verbal confirmation.
