The Samsung Galaxy M31s has been launched with a starting price of Rs. 19,499 for the 6GB RAM variant. The 8GB RAM option has a price of Rs. 21,499. Both the variants Come with 128GB of storage. The smartphone comes in Mirage Black and Mirage Blue colours.
The Galaxy M31 was launched at a price of Rs. 15,999 for the 64GB storage option, and Rs. 16,999 for the 128GB storage model. Including GST, the base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant can be purchased for Rs. 17,499, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model comes at price of Rs. 18,499 and the top 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant has a price tag of Rs. 20,499.
Galaxy M31s is characterized by new features like Single Take and Reversible charging which makes it different from Galaxy M31. The Galaxy M31s has a dashing design with a gradient touch and looks more attractive than Galaxy M31. Both the phones are characterized by awesome battery backup of 6000mAH.
Both the smartphones have super AMOLED display which is perfect for watching movies, editing videos and reading epapers. The display is bright, colourful and perfect for watching HDR videos. That’s typical of a Samsung AMOLED display. Flip the phone, and you will notice the rectangular camera bump on the top left. This setup is similar to that of the Galaxy S series. On the left side there’s the SIM tray, while on the right, there’s a power button and volume rocker. On the right side, there is a side-mounted finger print sensor which is absent in Galaxy M31. On the bottom, there’s a USB-C port, a speaker and a headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is present at the back of the phone and gives super quick response.
Both the smartphones have back panel made of poly carbonate plastic which is durable and won’t take scratches that easily. Smartphones with glass build in the backside are more vulnerable to break on fall. The build quality is solid, though there is no waterproof rating. You can get the Galaxy M31s in Space Black and Ocean Blue colour options and the Galaxy M31 is available in Ocean Blue and Space Black colour options.
About the Battery
Samsung has introduced the new feature of Reversible charging in M31s which cannot be seen in any of the other M series smart phones. So Galaxy M31s can be used as a powerbank. Both the phones are powered by a 6,000mAh battery that can easily get you through two days. The galaxy M31s comes with a 25W fast charger and USB Type-C to USB Type-C cable. The 25W bundled fast charger fully charges the smartphone in just 97 mins. The Galaxy M31 comes with a 15W bundled fast charger. So Samsung has brought significant improvement in the charging speed in Galaxy M31s.
What’s striking about the Cameras
The main highlight of the camera in Samsung M31s is Single Take. The “Single Take” feature harnesses AI to capture different versions of the same moment. With “Single Take“, all the user has to do is press record at the right moment and Galaxy M31s will capture the footage, up to 10 seconds of it, and then use AI to produce up to 10 different outputs – seven photos and three videos. The ‘Single Take’ feature is available on both the rear and front cameras. This feature will come handy while recording special and memorable moments like birthday parties. This feature is not available in Galaxy M31.
Another great useful new feature that Samsung has introduced in Galaxy M31s is the feature of switching between rear and front cameras which recording videos which is great and highly beneficial, so the user need not pause while taking videos to switch cameras.
Both the Smartphones have quad rear cameras for photography and 4K video capturing. Samsung has replaced the samsung ISOCELL primary sensor with primary Sony IMX682 sensory on the main rear camera. Moreover, Galaxy M31s has a 12 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera whereas Galaxy M31 has a 8 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera.
Both the smartphones have video capability with 4K recording and they supports slow-mo, Hyperlapse and super-steady modes. In addition, they also have night mode for awesome low light photography. The 32MP front camera also supports 4K video recording and slow-mo selfies.
