The Chinese company popularly loved across the world for its Flagship killer smartphones with the Tagline “Never Settle” has announced its first wearable smart band. The band has already entered the Indian market with a launch discount price tag of INR 2,499. Combining a color display with heart rate and spO2 sensor, the smart band is worth every penny.
The OnePlus smart band comes with a 1.1″ AMOLED display with resolution 126×294 pixels. There are no physical buttons on the smart band and a ton of customization features are available including 37 watch faces.
It weighs just 22.6 grams with the tracker and band contributing 10.3g and 12.3g respectively. Talking about the bands, they are made of rubber and are sold in three colors: Black, Navy and Tangerine Gray. Only the black band is included in the retail box and the other two bands have to be bought separately paying INR399 for each. For the grey band, the inner surface is painted orange and painted gray on the outside visible surface.
The OnePlus Smart band has 12 exercise modes and a free training option as well for all the sports and activities. It is IP68 water resistance certified and can withstand 5ATM water. The device can easily connect to any other android smartphone (Marshmallow and above) via Bluetooth 5.0. Box content includes 2 Pogo pins for charging the dedicated charger, a remote camera shutter for your phone and also a music playback controller. If you are a OnePlus smartphone user then you can also take advantage of the Zen Mode synchronization.
The company has claimed that the the device lasts for 2 weeks on a single charge. However the exact time was not informed. Of course, the conditions were ideal and the battery life will get a hit while the sensors are turned on. The data from the sensors can be adjusted and tracked via OnePlus Health App available on Google Play App store.
