The display is awesome in this price range.
The smartphone is available in three different color options: Sunset Melody, Midnight Jazz, Moonlight Sonata. The Sunset Melody color is spectacular and eye-catching.
Camera
Now cameras have become an important part of an smartphone and people are giving more priority to it. Modern day smartphones are keeping up the trend of providing awesome cameras at relatively low price. The Vivo V20 has a triple rear camera set-up comprising of a 64 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide) primary sensor, a 8 MP, f/2.2, 120˚, 16mm (ultrawide), and a 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth) sensor. There is a single 44MP selfie camera at the front which can be seen in no other smartphones. No smartphone in this price range does provide a 44MP selfie camera set-up.
The rear camera features Dual-LED dual tone flash, HDR and Panorama whereas the selfie camera features HDR. The Dual LED dual tone flash is seen in premium smartphones and is good to have. At times, capturing shots in Flash mode turn out to have a colder temperature but with the Dual tone flash, the two flashes are set at different temperatures(one at warm and other at cold) and the outputs from both the flashes are merged together to create life-like images.
It has eye Autofocus and Dual video recording options as well. The camera app is a complete package of many different filters and features and is a good camera phone.
The rear camera record 4K videos @30fps, 1080p @30,60 fps. The videos are electrically stabilized with gyro sensor(gyro-EIS). The front camera supports 4K video recording @30 fps and 1080p @30 fps. Overall, the Cameras specifications are great.
However, one problem with the Vivo V20 is that it tends to whiten the skin tones and does not show natural and real colors. The photos do look excellent but are not consistent. Well that’s not any major issue but the Samsung Galaxy M51 is also a good choice at this price range.

You have the Dual Video Recording feature which records with the front and rear cameras at the same time. There is also eye-Autofocus feature to automatically focus on the subject.
Performance and OS
The Vivo V20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G Octa-core (2×2.3 GHz Kryo 465 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 465 Silver) processor which is based on 8nm architecture. The 720G SoC is great and is more able than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC. Anyways, Gaming and video editing can be done effectively with this smartphone.
The smartphone runs Android 11 out of the box and is one of the very few smartphones in the market that do so for now. Vivo V20 also runs its Custom Funtouch OS 11 in addition to the Google OS. There is an Adreno 618 GPU.
Storage/Memory
Vivo V20 is available in two storage configuration: 128GB/8GB and 256GB/8GB. The storage is expandable via MicroSD cards upto 512GB. It is good to know that Vivo V20 has expandable storage while some like OnePlus Nord 5G lack the dedicated MicroSDXC slot for storage expansion.
Battery
It packs a 4000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support which completely charges in less than an hour. The battery Back-up is average and not the best in this price range as of the Galaxy M51 which has a 7000mAh monster battery which lasts 2 days on a single charge. However, the smaller battery has helped the phone in achieving that super looks with thin body and light weight which makes the in-hand feel of the smartphone better.
