Performance and UI
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G chipset the Redmi Note 9T runs Android 10 with MIUI 12 on top. The Octa-core (2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) 7nm SoC is aided by the Mali-G57 MC3 GPU in graphics rendering.
The camera specs are not that epic as it used to be but anyways you are getting a 48MP+2MP+2MP triple camera set-up and a single 13MP selfie shooter in a circular cut-out at the top left corner of the display.
The primary f/1.8 48MP sensor is meant to be taking high-res shots with sufficient amount of detail and contrast. There is no Ultra-wide angle lens and instead the 2MP f/2.4 macro and depth sensors are provided. The rear camera captures 4K@30fps and 1080p@30/60 fps. The 13MP f/2.3 selfie shooter records 1080p@30 fps only. Camera samples from the smartphone will be shared after the phone launches.
The Xiaomi Remi Note 9T is offered in a single RAM option of 4GB and two storage options: 64GB/128GB. The storage is expandable via dedicated microSDXC slot. The 64GB is based on UFS 2.1 whereas the 128GB model is based on UFS 2.2 storage.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 9T packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The battery lasts easily a day on a single charge after moderate sessions of gaming and multimedia. The 18W fast charger included in the box is meant to be charging the phone completely in 75 minutes or so.
