Chuwi is launching a 14 inch thin and light laptop with an Intel Celeron processor in mid-August. Chuwi LarkBook X will have an all metal, fanless design and a backlit keyboard. Under the hood, it has the Intel Celeron N5100 Jasper Lake 6 watt processor designed for low cost devices. The laptop is expected to cost less than 500 USD.
The Intel Celeron N5100 Jasper Lake is the most powerful processors built on the Atom technology. It is a 4-core, 4-thread chip with Intel’s UHD integrated graphics. The chip doesn’t generate much heat due to its 6 watt TDP and that is also the factor enabling the fanless design. The LarkBook X has an aluminum-magnesium body. Other specifications include 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD storage. The 14 inch display has a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 2K resolution.
