Honor is launching and unveiling many smartphones this month. Right now, Honor has introduced their new smartphone, the Honor Play 5 in China. The Honor Play5 comes in purple, black and bluish white colors. The 8/128GB variant is priced CNY 2,099 ($326) while the 8/256GB one will cost CNY 2,299 ($358). Open sales in China begin on May 26.
The key highlights of the smartphone include MediaTek’s Dimensity 800U chipset and 66W fast charging support. Other specs include a 6.53″ FHD+ OLED display with a water-notch housing the 16MP single selfie shooter.

There are four rear cameras arranged in a not so unique fashion. really, this square camera module needs to stop now. The market is already filled with Samsung mid-range galaxies featuring a square camera module design. The primary shooter is a 64MP sensor and there is a 8MP ultra-wide lens. The remaining two lenses are 2MP depth and macro sensors.
The Honor Play 5 runs Android 10 with Magic UI 4.0 on top. There are no google services whatsoever, but that’s not an issue in China. So there are no disadvantages for the phone. It is offered in two storage options, 128GB or 256GB. Either of them come with 8 gigs of RAM
The Honor Play 5 packs a 3,800mAh small battery but the 66W fast charging makes it a fair deal. The phone can fully charge in just 35 minutes (GREAT…)
