The roadmap suggest that 18 devices would get Android 11 OS update by the end of September. Here’s the list of Nokia smartphones that received the Android 11 OS update before the end of March.

  • Nokia 3.2
  • Nokia 8.3
  • Nokia 4.2
  • Nokia 8.1
  • Nokia 2.2

Smartphones such as Nokia 1 Plus, Nokia 1.3, Nokia 5.3, Nokia 5.4, Nokia 3.4, Nokia 6.2, and Nokia V8 5G UW should be getting the update before June.

Nokia 1.4 and Nokia 2.3 which were not mentioned in the roadmap list have already received Android 11 in April. Nokia adds that Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 will receive software updates in third quarter and the exact rollout date remains undefined.

According to the old roadmap the Nokia 9 PureView was to receive the Android 11 OS update before June but as per the revised roadmap, it would receive Android 11 only after June.

Nokia Mobile marketing head Adam Ferguson had mentioned that several Nokia smartphones would receive the Android 11 OS update by April. However, only two devices have received Android 11. The Nokia Forum has shared that “Downloading the upgrade via Wi-Fi connection is advised since the use of mobile data may incur operator fees.”

Nokia smartphones are long known for their stock Android experience which provides the user a much more smoother and lag-free experience since the OS is much lighter because of no additional skin on top.

While companies like Samsung introduce their OneUI skin on top of Android OS in order to provide some exclusive Samsung features to it’s customers. Nokia however, just provides the user a complete stock experience with no additional customization or bloatware. There are no creepy ads and trackers or pre-installed junkware in the newly bought handset.

With the Android 11 update, users can enjoy a chat bubble. the chat bubble is a feature that is built into the Notification system. The notification bubble floats on the homepage, and tapping on it expands the bubble.
