It being a limited edition, the packaging is premium and special.

The smartwatch is priced CNY 1,599, which is roughly Rs 18,200 in India. The OnePlus smartwatch will hit the Chinese market today; however, its global launch dates remain unclear. The Cobalt limited edition smartwatch is claimed to be made of special material which most smartwatches reject. The specifications are identical to that of OnePlus watch.

Apart from the 50 watch faces, there is an option for users to make a custom watch face of their own by uploading a photo from their phone. The smartphone need not be OnePlus designed. Under the hood, the OnePlus Cobalt Edition smartwatch comes with many essential sensors including a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor (SpO2), gyroscope, air pressure sensor, acceleration sensor, GPS and geomagnetic sensor,.

The smartwatch allows users to receive messages, attend calls, and also control the OnePlus TV. It is smart enough to lower the volume of the OnePlus TV (if connected) when the user gets a call. Also, OnePlus is working on a new ‘smart’ feature which lets the OnePlus watch check if a person is asleep or not and then accordingly switch off the TV after 30 minutes, if the user falls asleep. This feature will be available in OnePlus watches through an update.

The OnePlus Cobalt limited edition smartwatch has the longest battery life in the market right now – two weeks of regular usage or a week of heavy usage. The regular model recently received an update that brought the Always-on Display (AoD) feature.
