The Realme narzo 30 5G has launched in Europe and appears to be a twin of the Realme 8 5G on paper.
Display
The Realme Narzo 30 5G features a 6.5″ IPS LCD display with 90Hz fast refresh rate. The FHD+ screen has a 180Hz touch sampling rate, 405ppi density and 600 nits of peak brightness. Realme claims that the Realme Narzo 30 5G has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5% which is rare. If this is true
The Realme Narzo 30 5G has 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.5mm dimensions and weighs 185 grams. It houses an IPS LCD panel of 6.5 inches, which features a punch-hole at the upper-left corner. The screen delivers an FHD+ resolution, 405ppi pixel density, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. According to the brand, it offers a screen space of 90.5 percent. However, looking at the images below, it does not feel the least to be bezel-less. The chin is quite prominent from the image.

Performance and Chipset
The Realme Narzo 30 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G Octa-core SoC. The processor is a standard one at this price bracket. The handset runs Android 11 out-of-the box with Realme UI 2.0 on top. The Realme Narzo 30 5G sold in the Indian market has Mali-G76 MC4 GPU but that need not be the one sold in Europe.
Memory
The Base variant comes with 4GB of RAM whereas the top-specced version has 6GB of RAM. The Realme Narzo 30 5G comes in two storage options: 64GB/128GB. The storage is expandable via microSDXC slot.
Camera
The Realme Narzo 30 5G has a 48MP f/1.8 triple rear camera set-up with a 2MP f/2.4 depth and macro sensor each. There is no ultra-wide angle lens just like the Realme 8 5G. The prominence of the 2MP depth and macro sensors needs to be questioned. A 5MP sensor is at least required to make a visible difference. Anything less than that is just for name sake (since triple cameras are a trend). Photography features include super nightscape, panoramic view, time-lapse, portrait mode, AI scene recognition, AI beauty and filters.
There is a 16MP f/2.1 selfie shooter in the front housed in the punch-hoe cut-out at the upper left corner. Both the front and rear sensors record 1080@30 fps with UIS.
Battery
The Realme Narzo 30 packs a 5000mAh large battery with 18W of fast charging. The phone charges from 0-100% in around two hours or slightly less. The battery promises 16 hours of non-stop video playback or 114 hours of non-stop music playback. However, these are advertised figures and are true under certain conditions only.
