Samsung Galaxy F62 Full specifications:- The best smartphone under 30,000 Rs. in India.

To be very honest, this smartphone is lovely. Powered by the 2018 flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Exynos 9825 SoC, things are a bit surprising about this device. There are a lot to tell about the phone, so read till the end because you might not want to miss this smartphone. Also, let me tell you that this is a 4G smartphone and does not support 5G. However, I do expect Samsung to launch a 5G version of the phone as well.

Samsung Galaxy F62 price in India starts at Rs. 23,999, and it will go on sale from February 22 via Flipkart and the Samsung India store.

Fun Fact:- I found out the reason behind the naming of this smartphone, Galaxy F62. When we subtract the number 41 (Galaxy F41) from the number 62 (Galaxy F62) we get the number 21 which is the year we are living in. If you do not find any sense in this then do ignore this comment.

Display

Guys, the phone is big and thicc with a 6.7 inches sAMOLED+ with HDR10+ support and 60Hz refresh rate. Colors on the display look really great and the multimedia experience is not interrupted by the small camera cut out at the center of the screen. Colors look very good and accurate and also the contrast ratio is very great. Black looks real black and the dark mode experience is very good.

So, the display takes multimedia experience to the next level which is very essential these days when people are working from home and many are in quarantine. Netflix and Hotstar have seen a great increase in the memberships.

Performance

The Samsung Galaxy is the best performing smartphone in the market right now. It is powered by the flagship Exynos 9825 chipset which is based on 7nm built and EUV technology. being a 7nm chipset, it is very battery efficient and also a bit more heat efficient as well when compared to those 11nm Exynos chipsets that Samsung has been using till this date in it’s mid-range devices. Heating efficiency is also good and the phone only got a bit warm even after playing COD for an hour. Only, slight framedrops could be seen while palying Asphalt 9 and little to no frame drops or lags while playing COD. Very high settigns are available on both the games.

Yeah, in other markets such as in gulf countries or in Europe, the Samsung mid-range smartphones are shipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets but in the Indian market, the smartphones are shipped with Exynos 9611 (7nm) chipset to reduce cost. When compared with other Snapdragon chipsets, the Exynos 9825 is better than the Snapdragon 765G SoC. AnTuTu scores of this chipset is 3,77,711 which is much greater than what can be seen in any average mid-ranger. Even the OnePlus Nord which is priced at the top of the below 30K Rs. price bracket is failed by the Galaxy F62 in performance.

UI: User Interface

The UI experience is great with the Smasung Galaxy F62. it runs Android 11 out of the box and is shipped with the leatest OneUI 3.1 on top. The UI does have some pre-installed bloatware which can be uninstalled. However, my experience with using Galaxy F41 has taught me that Samsung is no longer what it used to be. It is heavily promoting those apps like MX TakaTak, Moj, etc. Even after uninstalling after i bought the phone, the Galaxy F41 asked me to install them again when I tried to update my device. This was the case with the Samsung Galaxy F41. I hope that Samsung would not irritate it’s users again.

Cameras

The camera set-up on the Samsung Galaxy F62 is the same as that on the Galaxy M51 with a 64MP Sony IMX 682 primary sensor, a 12MP FOV 123 degrees Ultra-wide angle lens and a 5MP depth and macro sensors. There is a 32MP single selfie camera in the hole-punch cut out at the front which has the Sony IMX 616 sensor. Both the front and rear cameras can shoot 4k30. Gcam feature is supported. Both the front and ear cameras have HDR mode.

Samsung galaxy f62 features (Camera App)

The Samsung Galaxy F62 has the famous Single Take feature which produces 14 outputs (10 photos and 4 videos) in a single take using AI. There is also option to switch between the front and rear cameras while recording.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy F62 packs a 7000mAh monster battery which will of course last 2 days on a single charge. The Galaxy M51 was he first smartphone to launch in India with a 7000mAh battery and now the F62 is following the Galaxy M51 too in this trend of monster batteries.

There is a 25W fast charging adapter in the box which charges the phone completely in around 70 minutes. There is reversible charging as well where you can use this phone to charge other smartphones through a USB C-C cable.

Sound

When proper sound quality combines with the best display then Multimedia experience is taken to the next level. With the Galaxy F62, you get mono speakers and no stereo speakers. However, it has Dolby ATMOS support which produces improved quality sound high volume. The 3.5mm headphone jack is still there. No earphones are provided in the box.

Connectivity

WLAN:- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot
Bluetooth:- 5.0, A2DP, LE
GPS: Yes, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO
NFC: Yes
Radio: FM Radio, recording
USB:- USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go

Galaxy F62 is 5G?

On this note, I have a problem with Samsung. If you could make such a nice smartphone (awesome on-paper specs) then why on earth would you want people to reject this smartphone because it lacks 5G support.

My request to Samsung: Do make a 5G variant of this smartphone, as you are doing with the upcoming A series smartphones.

While 5G is going to come soon to India, how can we be satisfied with a 4G smartphone knowing that 5G offers much faster speeds than 4G. Except 5G, the Galaxy F62 is excellent in every other aspects of connectivity, be it NFC or anything.

Sensors

The Samsung Galaxy F62 has all the typical sensors like the side mounted finger print sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, etc. There is face unlock as well. As a matter of fact, side mounted finger print scanner work faster than optical face unlock.

Bottom Line

One of the best smartphone at this price range. A true value for money smartphone. While there were many complaints among people with the Galaxy F41 that launched last year. Many were having heating issues, some lag issues and all that.

But this year after many reviewers having praised the smartphone for its smooth and immersive experience, yoiu can buy it without any doubt.

I would say that it is the best camera smartphone at this price range. Yes, I know the Pixel 4 is nowhere gone but the fact that you can use the Gcam app with the Galaxy F62 gives it an extra point. Also, I personally don’t prefer for selfies and close-up human shots due to the natural capturing algorithms of the Google AI.

I don’t want people to see the craters in my face, at least in my photos. Yeah you can edit them but most would prefer straight out of the camera. So, here’s the final verdict the Samsung Galaxy F62 is a worthy device and you won’t regret it for sure. The Vivo V20 Pro is also a very good smartphone and you should definitely consider it as well.

Performance wise, the smartphone is a beast and you won’t have any trouble. The display is great, connectivity is awesome and the battery life is the greatest.

So, that’s it for this buying guide. Hope it might have helped you to make a choice. PEACE
